This is Max's first time on the trail.
Actually, first time off the property
except for a couple of trips to the vet for shots.
Today was the first day for Max (TWH) and Joy (Curly) to go out on the
trail.
They have been raised as flat-landers so it was good for them to have an
"in-hand" walk around one of the trails they will probably ride in the
future.
They were both a little leary of the washes, but after being lead up and
down, Holly and I were able to "drive" them up and down and circle them thru
the washes. Lots of rocks and stuff which they are also unused to.
They need to learn how to balance their bodies and weight around these
things before having to negotiate the terrain with a rider on their backs.
The dogs (3) did their things including darting in and out of bushes and
neither horse was disturbed. No nervousness or sweat!
